Eigg Camping Pods

Location

Our camping pods are located close to the head of the pier, so you’re not reliant on a lift to your accommodation.  On your arrival, head for the pods near the standing stone. You will have received an email around a week before your visit with payment and self check-in details. Simply input your code into the key safe, collect your keys and you’re sorted.  You’ll be settled in and ready to explore or relax as the mood takes you within minutes of arriving.

Our top-most pod, An Sgurr, sits alone with its own cooking shelter and surrounding land. The two lower pods, Beinn Tighe, the left-hand pod, and Beinn Buidhe, the right-hand pod, share a cooking shelter so are perfect for larger groups who wish to share facilities.

Bike and kayak hire is available from Eigg Adventures.  A bike is a great way to explore the island, the roads are quiet and there’s even a few rough tracks you can take to get you further afield. Cycle across the island to the beautiful Singing Sands and Laig Bay and enjoy an evening dip as the tide comes in over the warm sand.

It’s a lovely walk from the camping pods, uphill to the top of An Sgurr, even lovelier on the way back downhill knowing what awaits you at Galmisdale Bay Cafe where you  can relax and enjoy good food and maybe even a cold drink all just a short saunter from your bed for the night.

Take a kayak out and paddle round castle island you’ll see seals for sure but might encounter otters, whales, basking sharks and maybe even a Sea Eagle, all within easy paddling distance of the pier.

Eigg is a great place to visit but be warned you might up end wanting to stay forever…
